木曜日, 8 月 27th, 2009今日は雑談でした。
フィリピン大学も学費が上がって大変だそうです。
以前は、1セメスターあたり７０００PHP程度（１４０００円）程度だったが、最近は１セメスターあたり２１０００PHP（４２０００円）程度まで上がっているとのこと。現地の所得水準を考えると、安いとはいえないですね。大学には留学生もいるそうですが、留学生は別料金だそうです（ドル建てらしい）。

今日の題材はGeneralisationsでした。これは一般化という意味ですが、この文章中では、stereotype （〔イメージや概念｛がいねん｝などの〕ステレオタイプ、固定｛こてい｝［既成｛きせい｝］概念｛がいねん｝ Alcより抜粋)とほぼ同義につかわれています。

久々のレッスン
火曜日, 4 月 14th, 2009久々にレッスンをうけました。1ヶ月近くブランクがあるので早く感覚を取り戻せるように出来る限り毎日受けたいです。レアジョブ以外にも、TOEIC対策の勉強も始めました。Readingの穴埋め問題を40問ほど解いてみましたが、正解率は8割程度でした。Readingは9割程度は取れないと、満点にならないので、文法問題にも慣れておく必要がありそうです。
1ヶ月ほど前と比べてアクティブな講師の数が200人ぐらい増えているようで、予約は取りやすくなったようですね。

フィリピンもだんだん暑くなってきたといってたので、そもそも年中あついんじゃないの、とたずねたら、冬は30度ぐらい、夏は34度ぐらいで、全然違うって主張されました。きっとフィリピンの人にとって30度は涼しいのでしょう。

I think this is the longest article I have got at Rarejob. Anyway I could read through the article within 25-min lesson. Due to the economic crisis, a number of construction problem face difficulties. Some of them have stopped in the middle of constructions and others are going to delay. On the other hand, many countries are planing to start huge project to stimulate their economy. China is now building train systems that is going to connect big cities within a few hours. Spending too much can cause financial problems. But under the severe economic environment who can spend money but for governments.
民間の建設業者が続々と破綻する中、国が主体となった大規模な建設プロジェクトも必要なのではないでしょうか？もちろん、何を作るか、どれだけ作るかということは多いに検討しなければなりません。マンションやオフィスビルは、既に飽和状態にあります。ですが、公共交通機関や環境対策関連はまだ十分に投資する余地はあるはずです。通勤ラッシュを解消する、エネルギー問題を改善する為であれば、数兆円単位の投資があってもいいのではないでしょうか？

金曜日, 2 月 20th, 2009In today’s lesson, my teacher sent me a URL but the site did not work because of “ColdFusion error” so we had a free conversation today.
The topic was her love story. She had(have?) a bf in Singapore but she had decided not to contact him for a week because of his behavior. According to her, he is a kind of hysteric. Not only calling her everyday, he even call her during her class. And if she call him back after the class, he angrily talks to her. She felt uneasiness and decided to be away from him for a while. Now their distance is much wider than 3000km, the distance between Singapore and Philippines.
