The wireless connection in CPILS has recovered. It can distract me from studying but it is also useful to study English.
I forgot to attend POWER SIM demo class. I have to ask some attendee about the class. But as far as I know, POWER SIM does not have enough students so far that they would have demo class again.

レベル分けテスト

CPILSでは学生のレベルは1Lowから6Highまでの18段階にレベルわけされています。テストの結果にはスピーキング、リスニングなど複数の項目があり、それらの平均のレベルがクラス分けの際に利用されます。
1-Low ←最低レベル
1-Middle
1-High
2-Low
2-Middle

3-Low
3-Middle

4-Low
4-Middle

6-High ←最高レベル（実質存在しない）
最初の週の月曜日にPlacemenceTest（レベルわけテスト）を受けます。このテストはQPT（文法＋リーディング）、Listening、Speaking の3項目から構成されており、結果は翌日の朝に受け取ります。
2回目以降のテストは、4週ごとに金曜日の午後に受けることになります。ただし、最後のテストは帰国の2週間前に設定されます。テスト日程は一般的に次のようになります。1ヶ月単位（4週間単位)で申し込まれる方が多いようですが、テスト日程的には2週間プラスしたほうがいいようです。

2回目以降のテストは、その時点でのレベルに応じて問題の難易度が変化します。現在CPILSでは3種類の難易度の問題が用意されています。
KET（Key English Test)
比較的簡単な問題
対象レベルは1L～2M
PET (Preliminary English Test)
中級向けの問題
対象レベルは2H以上
FCE (First Certificate in English)
上級向けの問題
対象レベルは4M以上
但し、レベルが4M以上ある人でもFCEを希望しない限りはPETを受けることになる。
これ以外には、
CAE (Certificate in Advanced English)
CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)
というテストも存在するそうですが、CPILSの学生が受けることはないようです。

CPILSを出て右側に30メートルほど行った所にあります。日本人店員もいるので、困ったことがあれば相談に乗ってもらえるかもしれません。

通常の営業時間は午後11時までですが、休日の前夜は午前1時まで営業しています。

My new room mate got 2H and his listening level was 3L. High listening level will help me a lot. because it is difficult to listen to my bad pronunciation.
I heard that seven new Japanese student arrived this week. I had heard fourteen. I do not know which is right. But it is true that the number of Japanese coming to CPILS is increasing.
I went to Ayala to pay for airline ticket I reserved the day before yesterday. It was Php 8052, Php 50 more expensive than I had heard. It can be caused by the surge of oil price or fall or Php but it was not a big deal that I did not ask them anything. I drank Banana shake at “Thirsty?!”. As I said in this blog, Thirsty's drink is fresh and delicious and costs only Php 39 for a regular size shake.
A new Japanese student is planning to go diving that I asked him to count me in. It would cost about $300 or so.
My 1:4 classmate Nori offered me a level up party this Saturday. Actually I have not gotten the result yet and I am not sure about the result. But I have no plan for this weekend so I accepted his offer delightedly. I asked two Japanese batches. One answered I would be free that I would join the other answered that she had already made plans for Saturday that She would not join.
After the night class, I went to Switch with my Japanese friend. I drank coffee and beer and ate Squid. It was a strange combination but was good. All of a sudden two Filipinas joined us and one of them started to seduce my friend ardently. He looked happy but nothing happened to them this night. It could be good to go somewhere with them but the week is young that we did not have an adventure.
I heard that there is a level 6 student now in CPILS. I'm not sure if it is true or not but it is said that there is no smoke without fire that level 6 student is likely to exist. I would like to be 6 but considering my limited duration, it is almost impossible to get level 6.- (2007-07-13 12:35:07)
